About The Role:

 

RWS seeks a strong Solutions Consultant for our XPP Product, who can articulate a vision of how a technology solution can meet a global company’s business requirements. The ideal candidate has a blend of both technology and business skills who is experienced with: consultative selling methodologies, developing and presenting compelling ROIs to executive level management, articulating a technology vision to executives and business line managers, presenting and leading compelling technology demonstrations.

 

This individual needs a strong technical background combined with outstanding communication and business skills; will work closely with both the client and the services team to evaluate needs and to design and implement a solution that will meet those needs. The ability to think creatively and to develop new approaches to difficult problems is required. Engagements may last a few days to several months and whilst will not all be onsite will certainly involve some travel.

Key Tasks/Duties:

The key tasks and responsibilities of a consultant within Professional Services revolve around the efficient and successful delivery of customer projects. Key tasks for this are:

• Represent RWS in a professional manner for all customer engagements, be it onsite or remotely; to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Configure the RWS solution set to work according to customer needs or agreed statements of work.
• Provide advice and guidance to customers on best practices and the RWS technology portfolio.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

 

• Understand the client’s situation, goals, and requirements
• Work with customers to facilitate the delivery of projects and be the main point of contact onsite at customer locations.
• Contribute to implementation planning of customer solution
• Implement the technical component of RWS enterprise solutions
• Deploy & configure customer-specific solutions based on RWS technology
• Maintain deep knowledge and understanding of RWS and of methodologies, processes, and solutions
• Deliver outstanding customer service
• Ensure the client takes advantage of RWS best practices
• Provide project guidance during customer implementation

• When requested/necessary conduct training sessions and deliver consulting services at the customer site
• Play an important role in developing our consulting practice

 

Requirements:

RWS is looking for candidates with the following experience and skills:

• Strong experience working with customers in a consultative manner
• Strong experience and/or knowledge of page composition and document publishing, a must-have
• Proficiency in two or more combination of languages including: XML, CSS, XSLT, Perl
• Experience working with Windows and Linux Operating systems
• Experience with source code management (Git, Jenkins), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), build tools (Maven, Gradle)
• Agile, Scrum (development cycle, best practices)
• Ability to thrive in a small project team environment (1 – 2 person teams).
• Previous experience with a major systems integrator and/or an enterprise software company a plus.
• Proficiency in RWS XPP application a huge plus!
