Position purpose

To collect and input Volumes and /or sales data from the automotive industry to enhance the official sales figures to break down to version level.

To improve the quality, and enhance the volumes data on China market.

Main tasks and responsibilities ·

To liase with external source data provider to collect volumes and model mix data on a monthly basis. ·

To input the data collected in the Model Mix spreadsheets on a monthly basis.

To integrate monthly the raw volume data into JATO database via VRA research

To monitor the quality of the China Volumes data in respecting company SLA committed to customers in terms of Accuracy, Timeliness and Completeness, and produce monthly QA metrics report

To report any anomalies to the Volulme Production Department for correction

Additional tasks and responsibilities

To research any queries arising about local volumes data coming from internal and external customers

To actively find new and better ways of collecting information to help enhance the official volume/ Modelmix data

To organise research and statistical materials for China Volume/Model mix

To provide related market insight and publish regular Market research internal newsletters

Required Experience and Background

Strong interest in and good knowledge of the automotive industry

Previous research experience within a client focused, specialist environment

Technical skills – Advanced MS Excel preferred

Analytical approach, high sensitivity to figures

Main resources and processes (tools) to get the job done

Training/documents on JATO research procedures and terminologies

Induction of JATO research tools (e.g. VRA, QA tool)

Support from Volumes Manager (UK)/Volumes Production Department (UK)/Research Manager/Research Coordinator
