Job Description
The Vice Principal will have whole school responsibility and will work closely with the Principals.
Provide direction, inspiration and guidance to our teaching staff including staff development, performance management and deployment.
High expectations for all and committed to rapidly driving up standards and increasing rates of progress.
Have a strong vision and ethos that supports our values and culture, esp. understand Chinese culture which can embeds ‘East meets West’ culture.
Requirements:
Academic qualification at post-graduate or equivalent level or relevant professional qualifications. Degree from a world-class university and master degree in education is preferred.
Normally a minimum of 5 years teaching experience and a minimum of 3 years education management experience, IB Examiner or Coordinator experience is preferred.
An understanding of multicultural environment, Western and Chinese higher education system is preferred.
An understanding of international postsecondary courses as well as the needs and requirements of international students, IBDP/A-level experience is preferred.
Experience of academic assessment and standards, quality assurance procedures.
Potentials and experiences in the development of academic programs.
Skills:
Demonstrable cross-cultural awareness and understanding.
Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to lead, motivate, coach and develop staff, with a commitment to teamwork.
Good communication skills, proven planning and organizational skills and an ability to take initiative within curriculum and policy objectives.
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, work under pressure and a proven ability to manage resources effectively, even when necessary, with minimal resources.
Willing to learn, to improve personal teaching and management effectiveness.
Practical with high integrity, honesty and ethical standards.
Enthusiastic and committed with positive standards.
