Responsibilities:
- The Apps Support Tech Lead Analyst is responsable to partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals; identify and define necessary system enhancements; analyze existing system logic, identify problems; and recommend and implements solutions.
- Provides expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of apps support.
- Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives for complex, high impact application enhancements and problem resolution through in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex business processes, systems and industry standards; documents requirements.
- Partners with multiple technology areas and management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals.
- Works closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts to determine and document Systems impacts and support requirements
- Considers the implications of the application of technology to the current environment.
- Identifies risks, vulnerabilities and security issues; communicates impact; proposes risk mitigation options.
- Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts; allocates work.
- Provides in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Directly impacts the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services.
- Persuades and influences others through strong and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills

We are currently looking for a senior Data Investigation Analyst for Enterprise Critical Finance Operating Ledger Platform, which fulfils the enterprise financial reporting, managing reporting, local regulatory reporting and other requirements. This role is to provide Data Investigation/Level-3 Technical Support by leveraging the knowledge of Ab Initio ETL tool along with Unix and Oracle. This position has very high requirements on Technical skills and financial accounting knowledge, who needs to work closely with business users, technical support analyst and core development team. We are looking for a person who can not only fix the issues but also provide solutions to fine tune the application.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for adherence to Service Level Agreements for Data Investigation/ Level 3 application support services defined
- Perform E2E data issue analysis
- Provide solution to critical and strategic business technology challenges
- Timely identification, communication, and escalation of all production issues for timely resolution within the service level agreement.
- Follow and enforce GPA application support operation excellence principles and governance.
- Identify the area of fault (code, environment, or configuration) and guide the appropriate team in constructing and implementing the fix.
- Maintaining and updating technical documents beneficial for application support
- Develop support-script and simplify-data-investigation scripts
- Ability to delve deep into the code structure to understand complex algorithms and troubleshoot system/data problems.
- Provide technical oversight across systems and applications; leverage support skills across multiple teams and departments.
- Debug and testnew software / applications and able to make general enhancements to the existing software / applications.
- Demonstrate drive and initiative; be goal-oriented, dedicated and self-sufficient.
- Partner with development and other technology teams to develop strategy regarding overall architecture and infrastructure, identifies and defines necessary system enhancements; analyzes existing system logic, identifies problems; and recommends and implements solutions

- Responsible for system availability / stability within the production environment to agreed business levels.
- Communicate complex technical issues to business users in a language they understand
- Assess and prioritize issues based on criticality.
- Able to provide effective client communicationsregularly and escalate when appropriate.
- Plan for and execute annual Continuity of Business (COB) tests, which will involve liaising with DBA’s, System Administrators, Users and other technical support teams to ensure test plans are executed as per the plan.
Qualifications:
- At least 6 years of relevant IT industry experience
- At least 5 years of experience in development and/or application based support and troubleshooting
- SME knowledge on Ab Initio with minimum of 3 years experience
- 5+ years experience and knowledge in other ETL tools like Talend will be an added advantage
- Expert in Unix commands, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL
- Hands-on experience in Application performance tuning (Graph and SQL queries) with large volume of data
- Experienced with Unix Shell scripting and general administration
- Knowledge on IT service process ITIL and have mindset of DevOps is preferred
- Knowledge on Finance accounting domain
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail troubleshooting
- Confidence and ability to work with all level of management.
- Self-learner, strong team player, detail-oriented & willing to work flexible hours
- Experience working in a support environment and dealing with business and technology users in a support role
- Proficiency in dealing with complex technical issues in an application support role (NOT desktop) support.
- Strong Problem Solving skills.
