The Oracle Intelligent Advisor Team is looking for an experienced user experience designer. You'll join a high-performing cross-functional team building a segment leading, innovative product. We need a thoughtful, talented, multi-faceted user experience designer, who loves empowering technology users with high quality interaction and visual design, to bring their creative ideas and their hard work and join our team.
You will collaborate with designers, engineers, product managers, end users and quality assurance throughout the design process. At each stage, you will be an advocate for the end user while balancing technical constraints when creating accessible, beautiful and engaging user interfaces based on complex requirements and tight deadlines. At the end of the day, you will ensure we ship great looking products that are easy to use and sell and are consistent with the Oracle Design language.

In this role you will:
- Dive deep into our product, leading the design effort for critical feature areas
- Build relationships with the wider design community within Oracle
- Collaborate closely with product management and engineering to design a state-of-the-art user experience for our customers
- Create process flows, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and visual designs to effectively communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interactions
- Partner closely with your colleagues in user research to get customer feedback on your designs, find out where you’ve improved their lives, and find out where you have more work to do
- Work with a global team, including key staff located in Canberra Australia
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 3+ years hands on commercial experience as a UX designer or similar role
- Strong understanding of responsive design and web technologies
- Experience conducting/organising frequent user research and testing it with customers
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and negotiation
- A passion for seeing what you build be used by customers around the world

Responsible for creating, evaluating and modifying prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development.As a member of the User Experience team, you will develop and apply software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems. May develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses. Provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, voice response and conversational user interaction. May assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations. May produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for product in development.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically seven years of software engineering or related experience needed.
