#### Position Description:


User Experience Community Designer
We are seeking a UX/UI Designer that will be responsible for creating web
experiences and interfaces for Lenovo online communities. The ideal candidate
has a strong design portfolio and background within UX and UI Design. They
will be able to apply user-centered design thinking principles and best
practices, adhere to design process guidelines, and work closely with cross-
functional teams in the understanding and definition of user flows, mockups
and prototypes for applications that are intuitive, useful and usable
experiences. We’re looking for a proactive, self-motivated designer who has
experience with creating wireframes, visual designs and prototypes.

In addition, the ideal candidate must possess the ability to multi-task across
numerous projects, work independently, adhere to tight deadlines and be
comfortable presenting designs to stakeholders. This is an excellent

Primary responsibilities:
• Partner with cross-functional eCommerce teams, as well as a 3rd party
technology provider to create a highly engaging, valued eCommerce community
experiences
• Produce deliverables –user flows, wireframes, visual designs and prototypes
– that can be presented both for senior leadership buy-in yet detailed enough
for developmental execution
• Communicate design solutions to project teams, clients, partners and other
stakeholders
• Analyze business, user process, and system workflows
• Leverage data (both quantitative and qualitative) analysis to inform design
deliverables

#### Position Requirements:


Required Technical / Functional Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI, Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer
Interaction, or related field
• Previous experience in UX/UI Design or related field
• Proficiency in Sketch, Adobe CC, Invision and/or related design, UX, UI, and
prototyping apps
• Proficiency and ability to define and create engaging UI for Web interfaces
• Knowledge of designing for community platforms (e.g. Maestro,
Lithium/Khoros, Jive, SalesForce Community Cloud, etc) a strong plus
• Understanding of design systems
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and Jira
• Knowledge of Accessibility principles and web best practices
• Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in taking an idea from early
concept through all phases of the UX design process. Multiple examples of UI,
product design examples are a plus
• Have in-depth understanding of user-centered Design Thinking principles and
methodologies
• Ability to convey and communicate project work to developers, diverse
stakeholder group, and product owners
• Skillset to manage own projects / strong organizational skills
• Ability to take direction and execute under tight deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively across geographically diverse teams
