University Relations Recruiter + Program Manager University Relations (UR) is a strategic arm of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition at Siemens Digital Industries Software. Our team’s mission is to attract, select, and retain the best, next generation talent at Siemens. We are currently seeking a Recruiter + Program Manager for our nationwide internship and co-op program – the Strategic Student Program (SSP). The SSP is a key part of Siemens hiring strategy, as it is the company's main entry level talent pipeline. The UR Recruiter + Program Manager will lead the SSP team – three individuals who hire, onboard, and support approximately 300 students across the US each year. You will have an individual contributor workload, as you assist with recruiting and event planning, but the right candidate will also need to demonstrate strength related to program management, leadership and collaboration, and strategic planning. This position will provide exposure and learning opportunities in relation to a wide array of Human Resources functions, including – hiring, retention, compensation, employee engagement, employee relations, and training and development. This is an ideal role for an early-in-career HR leader, looking for autonomy and influence within a global organization. Key responsibilities include: Maintain strong stakeholder relationships: Outside of your direct team (University Relations), you will need to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders: Hiring Managers across 10 business units Other HR functions – Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Payroll, etc. The Executive Leadership Team Current interns in the program Prospective candidates on college campuses across the US, including student organizations Advisors and other key university contacts on target college campuses The right candidate will be able to understand the business needs of each of these stakeholders, adjust their priorities and performance based on input and feedback, and provide timely responses to all inquiries. Manage the hiring & selection process: You will learn the DI SW portfolio as you fill intern positions for 10 internal organizations that have different needs and talent pools. Serve as 1 of 2 - 3 recruiters dedicated to the Strategic Student Program. Host intake calls and work with hiring managers to write effective job descriptions. Ensure compliance with internal hiring policies and procedures, as well as applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations (particularly with tracking activity within Siemens’ Applicant Tracking System). Attract potential candidates to apply through online postings, career fairs, info sessions, etc. Sell Siemens Software as an “Employer of Choice” – have an in-depth understanding of the various business units you support. Assess fit through resume reviews and phone screenings. Coordinate hiring manager interviews. Extend written and verbal offers. Partner with HR Operations to complete onboarding for new hires. Assist other recruiters as needed; ensure SSP will fill all requested roles each recruitment cycle. Provide regular and consistent communication to hiring managers. Develop annual campus hiring strategy – including in-person and virtual events. Prioritize external partnerships (student organizations, non-profits) that promote diversity. Support the Strategic Student Program: Not only will you select the best talent to join the program – you will manage their experience throughout their time as an intern at Siemens. Host orientation, prepare new hire gifts, assist with onboarding. Act as a “career advisor” for interns during their time at Siemens. Plan events to create a well-rounded internship experience: social opportunities, volunteer events, executive speaker sessions, soft-skill training & development workshops. Mediate employee relations issues as needed. Partner with HR BPs for proper action and follow-up. Manage and oversee all interns receiving full-time offers to join the company post-graduation. Diligent tracking of program headcount. Proactive communication and planning with hiring managers. Forecast future hiring needs. Regularly benchmark other programs in the tech industry as well as recruiting trends to ensure Siemens maintains a competitive position in the talent market. Serve as a thought-partner with hiring managers, executives, and the UR team. Provide suggestions for program improvement with data to support your business case. Provide annual presentation of KPIs to Executive Leadership Team; ensure the program is meeting the needs of the business. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field Preferred location Cincinnati, OH; also open to remote candidates Minimum of 2-3 years recruiting experience Program management experience highly preferred 25% of travel - required travel to college campuses during peak recruiting seasons for various events (meet & greets, information sessions, career fairs, etc.) Interpersonal skills: Excellent written & verbal communication Able to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders Collaborate well with others Train and mentor other UR team members Program Management skills: Able to balance multiple high-priority projects at one time, and delegate to other UR team members Excellent organizational skills Ability to follow-up and follow-through on commitments Keen attention to detail Experience with HR tools and technology including Workday and an Applicant Tracking System preferred Strong MS Office Suites skills required Large event planning experience preferred Comfortable with public speaking, such as leading presentations and training sessions with large groups Ability to examine current processes and identify ways to improve efficiency Organization: Digital Industries Company: Siemens Industry Software Inc.
