YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, US Crime Defense Investigator, are to:
- Conduct investigations of alleged or suspected violations of laws and regulations concerning criminal matters associated with fraud, computer crimes, intellectual property, compliance and other security issues;
- Conduct interviews and clearly document all investigations keeping in mind potential legal requirements (e.g. chain of custody);
- Develop investigative strategy, interviews personnel, vendors, and suspects, documents investigations with evidence so criminal and/or civil procedures are facilitated;
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with lines of business, key partners and stakeholders including Security Operations, Physical Security, Information Security, Incident Management, Legal, HR and others to guide risk mitigation efforts pertaining to intellectual property protection, insider threats programs and corporate espionage;
- Coordinate response activities with various stakeholders for confirmed incidents and recommend mitigation strategies;
- Continuously evaluate changes in actors, tactics, techniques and targets to enhance threat scenarios and use cases and make recommendations to ensure technology strategy maintains pace with changing insider threat landscape;
- Evaluate historical events and incidents to identify trends andmethods of data loss;
- Assist with planning and execution of Insider Threat training;
- Participate in the investigation of suspecte complex and sophisticate criminal activities, which may have significant impact on health, safety, fiscal, ethical and operations integrity;
- Conduct surveillance operations by determining appropriate places, persons or activities to be observed, as well as the time required and assets needed to do so;
- Work within the Global Security Crime Defense team to establish links between suspects and other violators by piecing together evidence uncovered from a variety of sources;
- Interact with the organization’s Law and Human Resource departments as well as local, state and federal law enforcement agencies in order to achieve maximum results that support business efforts;
- Prepare clear, comprehensive and cohesive investigative reports based on established procedures;
- Provide guidance to less experienced investigators as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of five years of relevant work experience in law enforcement, industrial security, corporate security or a combination thereof;
- Five years' experience in conducting or managing complex investigations, preferably in law enforcement environment;
- Understand of internet based investigations, familiarity with current open source collection and analysis tools to include social media analysis tools;
- Specialize training or experience covering one or more of the following types of issues: insider threat and counterintelligence/corporate espionage;
- Demonstrate experience in conducting victim, witness and suspect interviews;
- Ability to prepare clear and succinct written communications;
- Experience in conflict resolution, workplace violence, negotiations, threat analysis and developing risk analysis of human behavior;
- Ability to work under pressure in stressful, high profile, sensitive and life threatening situations;
- Understand of critical asset protection.
