English to Chinese Translator Job Description, tasks:

1. Translation into Chinese of website content, various application programs, customer communication messages, education support tools for customers

2.Proofreading and QA on existing English to Chinese translations

3. Testing / QA translation on mobile devices

4. Other project related tasks

Requirements

1.Bachelors or Masters degree in Translations/Linguistics

2. 3-4 years work experience in a translation department (preferably financial services, brokerage, banking, trading, etc)

3.Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (proficiency level)

4.Technical flair, and experience with translation tools (OmegaT or Trados)

5.Competency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email

6.Self-confident, extroverted with the ability to work independently and within a team

7.Fast learner, proactive and helpful

8.Understand traditional Chinese and able to handle conversion of simplified Chinese to Traditional Chinese using internal tool provider.
