Job Description
Job purpose:
We are looking for an associate to join our Trade Finance Department.
As a part of a successful and growing international team, you will report to the Senior Member of the transaction banking department. With a well-established global network and strong reputation, this job opportunity will allow you to develop a career within our fast-growing international Bank.
Your mission is to develop our transaction banking business with a focus on trade finance, and lead and manage the trade finance team if applicable.
Responsibilities would be, but not be limited to, the following:
· Helps on the result of the Transaction banking business performance in trade finance area.
· Takes part in the Bank’s relationship marketing activities with target corporate customers and FI customers, present and sell the Bank’s trade finance related products and services.
· Supports negotiation terms and conditions with customers of the targeted trade finance transactions pursuant to the Bank’s business strategy.
· Liaises with in-house or external lawyer to complete related documentation process.
· Ensures the regulatory requirements are met by the department.
· Monitors the documents and cash flows related to the trade finance operations and implements post lending management to mitigate market risk or credit risk.
· Supports the design of new Trade Finance product to meet customer need and follow up the New Product approval process of the Bank.
· Works with members of other departments and external parties by producing reporting statistics and analysis, as well as reviews trade finance products and various tasks associated with Transaction banking business.
· Liaises with BOC Head Office’s and domestic network’s staff to support the development of business for BOC Luxembourg and the Group’s existing and target clients.
· Updates and maintains accurate business files.
· Develops the Bank’s market competitiveness in the trade finance area.
Qualifications
Profile (Technical Skills):
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics or relevant subjects.
· 3 to 4 years of working experience in banking sector, with a minimum 2 years of experience in Trade Finance area.
· Fluent in English is essential, other languages will be an advantage.
· In-depth knowledge of the banking industry; familiar with cross function products.
