Job Description

The Technology Program Manager for our LED Lamp product line will lead the design and qualification work of LED lamp products for professional channels. The candidate will be able to own the system design to guide the work of each sub-technical function including mechanical design/electronics design/optical design, and also be responsible for the program schedule and product cost.

What You'll Do:

 

  • Work with product managers on the product roadmap and strategy, define and work out product technical specification for each LED lamp
  • Own new product introduction (NPI) process through various milestones, document files in the system, meet the product technical specification, cost and timeline requirements
  • Own product validation plan, work with systems team to define the validation plan, communicate the validation plan within team members and also to suppliers, review and analyze the validation results
  • Ensure sure the qualified products are compliant with required standards
  • Maintain launched LED lamp products
  • Responsible for the technical support for the launched LED lamps, provide technical support to solve potential technology/supply chain/quality/regulation issues for those launched LED lamps
  • Work with sourcing, quality and suppliers to ensure product cost, manufacturability and quality
  • Use statistical tools to analyze the experiment results and execute the action plans

Qualifications

What You Have:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering/technology or other related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in program management 
  • Solid six sigma (Green belt) and product reliability knowledge is required and the ability to use proper tools for the data analysis
  • Strong ability to manage and drive execution both within the team and at supplier side
  • Familiar with domestic and international regulations/standards on Lighting systems, e.g. UL1993/UL1598C
  • Strong oral and verbal English communication skills
  • Available to take calls outside of normal business hours to accommodate globally located teams
  • Flexibility to travel, both International and domestic, around 10% working time

What We'd Like You to Have:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Knowledge in lighting applications or photometry standards.
  • Optical design or thermal design background.
  • Program related certification (PMP/PMI and so on) is a plus.
  • System design capability to guide/support each sub-technical function design
  • Knowledge in optical design or thermal design
