As a Technical Sales Support Specialist you will be responsible for providing pre/post-sales support for Drive Product (DP) customers, partners and sales team, and develop key partners and sales team technical competence for DP in the region, main driver in the region to accelerate product changes by tackling issues in sales and commissioning phase, in Motion Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the Sales Support Manager, you will support customers in bidding documents, drive and motor selection, field commissioning and filed quality problem handling.

Your responsibilities

  • Being a member of Drives Product Technical Product Management department, reporting directly to the Technical Product Management Manager, working location is in Shanghai
  • Contacting window of customer case in region, to provide technical support to front end sales in terms of pre-sales and post-sales activities
  • Supporting customers in bidding documents, drive and motor selection, field commissioning and filed quality problem handling
  • Ensuring product technical training to channel partners and end user to promote DP products and help to improve overall technical competence
  • Studying on specific industry application know how and share/exchange knowledge of application and best practices within local and global teams
  • Gathering customer pilot feedback and competitor intelligence to Product Management and Product Marketing
  • Following up on technical support actions and Customer issue escalation to Beijing Technical Product Management team

Your background

  • 5 years of experience in engineering or technical support related to automation or drive products
  • Strong customer focus awareness, problem solving and consultation skills
  • A Bachelor and above degree in Power Electronics, Electrical/Electronic or Automation Engineering is preferred
  • Need frequently travel and provide detail travel reports.
  • Good English and Chinese communication skills
