Technical Sales Specialist (m/f/d) Reproductive Health / DACH & Poland


Location: Home-Office Germany or Austria


 

The ideal candidate must be a sales professional with strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to drive sales in different business segments. This individual is responsible for implementing business strategies, forecasting, and providing marketing/competitive feedback and customer satisfaction relative to sales activities. This position will require an individual that is results-oriented, highly motivated to succeed, operates with an extreme sense of urgency, has an excellent work ethic and maintains the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
 
You will work with a large variety of customers in clinical environments like Healthcare (NHS) and other genomics orientated segments. You will act as a trusted commercial point of contact, working closely with the various specialists and support staff, to serve our customers, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty resulting in a contribution to the overall commercial success of the business.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage to a business plan to meet or exceed business goals agreed upon with Commercial management for the territory
  • Work together with local Genetic Analysis sales colleagues and managers to ensure all possible actions are done in order to secure business in competitive situations
  • Drive business expansion in collaboration with Support, Sales and Market Development
  • Developing high level relationships with key opinion leaders, with the purpose of making these engagements successful as positive reference sites
  • Set up and undertake complex negotiations
  • Review effectiveness or negotiation strategy on a continual basis, benchmark own sales techniques against best practice, coach sales colleagues and ensure transfer of knowledge, experience and best sales practice
  • Consistently and accurately manages sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking through the use of salesforce.com system and other designated IT tools
  • Anticipate pipeline changes and has plans in place to address shortfalls
  • See trends and coordinate sales activities with sales manager accordingly
  
Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience, a Master’s or PhD degree is desirable
  • Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience in Life Science and/or clinical market (preferably in RH) both selling consumables and instruments
  • Good knowledge of the clinical market especially RH
  • Relevant technical and scientific background ( Molecular Biology, Sequencing, NGS,RT PCR, Micro Array)
  • Able to develop and implement strategies that drive growth
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to set priorities and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication skills and the ability and willingness to be flexible and adaptable to work in a complex cross-functionally environment
  • Good written and oral communication skills are essential, strong presentation skills for both technical and sales related materials
  • Able to undertake frequent travel (up to 50-70%)
