The Products group is the home of manufacturing and innovation at Morningstar. The individuals in this group transform our high-quality data, independent research, and technological expertise into well-designed products that delight our clients. The group’s product management, product development, and service teams collaborate with our Client Solutions group to help provide clients with relevant products and bundled solutions.

The Role:

As a senior project manager, you will use agile to manage projects, play critical role to manage development schedule, discover and dissect user requirements for implementation planning, report the project, control the risk, manage changes, and organize collaboration within and across teams from different data and technology teams. Meanwhile, you will be acting as the release manager of branded products.

This role is based in Shenzhen office.

Responsibilities

• Work with development team & data service team to create and maintain a project plan, including goals, deliverables, resources, and timelines.
• Work with POs to create specifications and understand business requirements.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and act as a mediator between them.
• Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented.
• Monitor process compliance and report on progress and status against project milestones.
• Lead, coach and motivate project team members on a proactively.
• Develop best agile practices for development.
• Handle multiple projects in parallel and present the progress.
• Project planning, resources planning and drive team to meet the timeline.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a project specialist focused on technical implementations
• Feel comfortable working in a global environment.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Must have clear understanding of the responsibilities in software development process.
• Ability to translate proposition requirements into clear, concise process design specifications.
• Ability to think analytically, define problems and frame solutions.
• High organized, be able to multi-task, management activities in parallel.
• Excellent English written and oral communications skills.
• Financial industry knowledge is a plus.
