Job Posting Details

The appointee will be responsible for providing technical support to the operation and maintenance of the facility (e.g. laboratory equipment setup, operation, maintenance, design and manufacturing, etc.). He/She will be required to:

1. Provide technical support to faculty members and research staff/students;
2. Render technical assistance to routine operation, maintenance and procurement of related research laboratories and research activities; and
3. Assist the engineer in monitoring the laboratory safety compliance with the University’s safety regulations.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering disciplines or a relevant higher diploma/higher certificate with at least 3 years of post-qualification working experience in mechanical design, computer interface and instrumentation system development. Experience in the related research fields and strong computer/IT skills are strongly preferred. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
