Responsibilities:

？ Strong technical knowledge on apparel to support Product Technologists and other stakeholders (Vendors, merchandising team, Australian office) if needed.

？ Resolve issues related to product quality on time so there is minimum impact to the critical path

？ Collaborate with Target Technical Design to improve and establish quality standards, maintain key Shape/block pattern/sample library.

？ Provide guidance to the team on risk assessment and PP meetings and advise necessary precautions to all relevant stakeholders prior to production commencement.

？ Provide input to sourcing, QA, and apply commercial judgment on quality issues during inspection/ shipment.

？ Prepare and deliver technical and quality training to suppliers and Product Technologists about Target’s latest quality and technical requirements

？ Provide induction training for new joiners across different functions on technical and quality standards and processes

？ Participate in interview and provide technical advice to sourcing team on talent selection of Product Techs

？ Regularly check and monitor Product Technologists performance to ensure all align to the updated standards and ways of working

？ Drive quality continuous improvement programs or processes to deliver consistent, safe and quality products

？ Identify and report safety concerns, demonstrate safe working behaviour and lead by example to establish a safe workplace

Requirements:

？ Degree or above in related disciplines.

？ 6-10 years’ solid experience in related field and minimum 3 years’ managerial experience.

？ Knowledge in pattern making, fit, garment construction, manufacturing process; well-versed in both cut & sewn knit/woven items, (or specific to the product categories handled. E.g. intimates apparel, sweater, denim etc.)

？ Experience in technical package creation and product approval.

？ Experience in sample evaluation, live model and mannequin fit evaluation.

？ Experience working directly with designers and buyers.

？ Strong verbal and written English and local language.

？ Strong IT skills especially in the use of MS-Office applications.

？ Experience in leading change, improvement and innovation within field.
