Team background:

You will be part of the omnicommerce Solution & Technology team, with a more specific focus on building solutions that help building a unique relationship and communication with Decathlon sport users. You will contribute to improve our capacity to design, develop and manage user centric and innovative IT solutions.

Your role :

Technical leads to provide solutions to technical requirements and issues, and are responsible for the committed development schedules and ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements.

Your job responsibilities:

1. You want to build solid technical foundations for the product delivery teams, such as:

• you define development standards and share best practices with the team

• you share recommendations on development & technology based on your understanding of tech trends and how it can bring value to the team

• You try new technologies, prototype them and use them in real projects

• You contribute to the company knowledge base and process improvements.

2. You make sure we design great solutions that are easy to maintain and quick to improve

• You own one or more modules and hands-on of the project under development.

• You are able to thoroughly understand the Requirements and Design.

• you help BA/BL to turn business needs/problems into technical solutions with the right architecture, proper level of modularity and the right APIs

• You lead framework design, including not only software framework but also network & hardware infrastructure in partnership with other Decathlon teams

• You use best practices and coding standards.

• You design and implement automated unit testing framework as required, and conduct thorough unit testing and integration testing using the automated unit test framework for the whole system.

• You promptly escalate issues, which affect product delivery and quality that are beyond the scope of influence.

3. You are a born coder, and as tech lead you also help team members become stronger

• you spend a minimum of 25% of your time coding because you like to keep fit!

• you organize and conduct peer-code-review with internal and external developers and provide feedback.

• you coach other developers of the team, you mentor them to become tech leads and maintain the team morale.

• you participate in recruitment of talented developers

• you set up the community to share knowledge/experience/new tech with other Tech leads or developers on a regular basis

The profile:

1. Education:

at least a Bachelor's degree in information technology

2. Work experience:

• at least 5+ years experience as developer or tech lead

• successful experience as a solution architect

• software developer team leading experience

• at least expert with two-core language used in the company, Java, Python or PHP

• familiar with at least one database: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB

• familiar with OPS & Linux is a plus

• experience with AWS/CI/CD/Azure is a plus

• international project cooperation is a plus

3. Key skills:

• Good ability to exceed the requirements of senior software engineer.

• fluent English in daily communication is a must

• able to work cross-team or cross-department in an agile way

• able to be a part of the team with PO, BA, Dev, QA, etc.

• optimistic & positive, willing to work with challenges

• passionate about new technology & turning technology into solution in an efficient way under complicated circumstances

• fast learner and curious, sound industry trends awareness.

• Good ability to anticipate issues and formulate remedial actions.
