Responsibilities:

• Provide customer troubleshooting, training, and floricultural planning, specific on cutting bedding flower
• Sales support and liaison with supply chain, logistics, customer service, and other technical resources
• Collaborate with the Trial Team to execute Technical and pre-commercial trials and ensure data and photos are collected
• Evaluate Commercial trials and provide status updates and final findings to relevant parties.
• Facilitate the execution of public demonstration trials in assigned region or crop category.
• Translate crop culture sheets, technical reports, and other technical materials into Chinese
• Responsible for ensuring customers, Sales & Marketing have the most current growing and technical information
• Responsible for knowledge exchange with Supply Chain, R&D and Broker representatives to ensure we are supporting the grower experience and sales efforts of broker representatives
• Identify unmet grower needs and discuss, design and work with broker sales reps to liaise and provide solutions
• Deliver technical training to broker sales reps and growers
• Provide technical inputs to tactical / marketing plans, campaigns as well as to product launch teams.
• Provide technical review of external communications and advertising.
  

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Horticulture, Floriculture, or Plant Science, MS preferred

• Fluent English both verbal and written

• Problem and Complaint Resolution (i.e., timely, productive, accepted)
• Develop Training Programs for customers, sales reps and other Syngenta staff
• Develop and consolidate product insights
• High Motivation and Energy
• Delivery of easy to understand and engaging training to all customers
• Participation in scheduled industry events and customer open days
• Establish Syngenta as Industry leader in providing technical support

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

Critical knowledge

• Strong product knowledge of annual and perennial bedding flowers
• Knowledge on cultivation of vegetative bedding flower is preferred

Critical experience

• Proven experience providing technical solutions, working with sales reps, customers and internal stakeholders
• 3-5 years’ experience as production manager and/or head grower role at medium and large size growers or 3-5 years’ experience in academia with solid knowledge in applied floriculture production
• Capable of designing programs that enable technical offerings, and make business sense
