Job Description
Our Benefits
• Salary: RMB 9,000 (Basic Salary RMB 7,000 + Housing Allowance RMB 2,000, Total RMB 9,000)
* Teachers will receive increment on their Basic Salary base on below criteria:
- Increment of TEFL/TESOL /CELTA...................+ RMB 250....... RMB 9,250
- Increment for related teaching experience............+ RMB 965....... RMB 10,215
• Flight Reimbursement and Contract Bonus:
- For the Teacher who is recruited outside of China:
Flight Reimbursement.................................... 5,000 RMB
Contract completion bonus............................ 4,000 RMB
- For the Teacher who is recruited inside of China:
Flight Reimbursement.................................... N/A
Contract completion bonus............................. 7,000 RMB
• Paid Leave: Inclusive of national and school holidays, i.e. days when the school is closed, 22 days
• Visa And Working Permit: We will apply Working Permit and the Foreign Expert Certificate for the teacher, and we sponsor all teachers for their working visas in China and cover all associated costs except the initial Z visa.
• Tax: It is the regulation that foreigner must also pay personal income tax for their income in China, and the school will deduct 215RMB per month from the teacher's payroll for such tax payment to the city tax bureau.
• Medical Insurance:
Scheme I: Teachers may join the School’s group insurance scheme, of which the premium will be paid by the School.
Scheme II: Teachers may purchase his/her own insurance; the School will provide an Insurance Allowance of 1,300RMB
• Accommodation: The School will help the teacher to find suitable apartment in the city, while the
teacher may also choose to stay in SCHOOL’s apartments, in which every teacher has their own private room, while sharing the central facilities, such as laundry, kitchen, living room, and bathroom. In such case the SCHOOL will deduct 2,000RMB per month from the Teacher’s salary as accommodation charge while the TEACHER will be responsible for their own utilities expenses
• Arrival & Support: - The Teachers’ Welfare Officer will pick you up at Nanjing airport or train station on your arrival;
- In case that your flight’s destination is not Nanjing, we will help you to travel to Nanjing;
- You will be placed in School’s apartment or in a hotel for the first 4 days on
your arrival, and the Teachers’ Welfare Officer will help you to settle down in
Nanjing
• Promotion & Career Development: We offer great opportunities for teachers who wish to explore their ability and experience in operation and management, as well as other programs for career development.
Our contract
• 12 months (inclusive of a probation period of 3 months)
• Office Hours:The Teacher will be scheduled to work 2 hours/week, for office work, which include but not limited to resource work, materials development, lesson plan preparation, lesson plan checked by supervisors, interviewing of student for placement testing, organizing school events, and/or being a stand-by teacher to substitute classes in case of needed.
• Teaching Hours:Target teaching hours is 24 hours/week (inclusive of Demo Classes, Meetings, Training Sessions and Workshops), any additional teaching hours exceeded will be paid as Extra Payment.
• Age of students:3-16 years old. Our school is directed primarily towards younger learners.
Although our students range from 3 to 16 years old, most of our students are 3-12 years old. We also have a few adult students; however teaching adults is not the norm. All of our teachers must be willing and prepared to teach younger learners.
• Class size: 6-12 students per class
• Weekly Schedule: The Teacher’s standard working schedule is 5 days per week, including Saturday and Sunday. Weekly day-offs will be scheduled on two consecutive days between Monday-Thursday depends on different teacher’s class schedule.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Native speaker of English(who are either a UK, American, Irish, Canadian, NZ, Australian or SA)
• Bachelor’s degree or above
• 25 years old or above, or have graduated for at least TWO years
• have a recognized EFL qualification, e.g.: TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, etc;
• are outgoing, enthusiastic, positive, sociable, hard-working, patient and are looking for a challenge and enjoy working with young learners
• Relevant experience is definitely an advantage;
