Summary

The Cinema Application Engineer is responsible for all THX cinema/studio/private cinema certification technical support, field work, design services, and overseeing projects within THX technical standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Management of ongoing THX cinema certification projects

2. Provide THX cinema design deliverables, test and calibration services to cinema clients

3. Constantly chasing cinema certification process; provide necessary technical support to clients through site visiting and verbal communications

4. Provide technical training sessions to partners

5. Manage all THX cinema independent consultants in specific cinema project

6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. 7 years of experience as Cinema Sound Engineer .

2. 2 years of experience as Film Studio Engineer .

3. Experience with AcoustX D2 Acoustical Measurement System.

4. Experience with AutoCAD preferred.

5. Experience with EASE Focus.

6. Experience with EASE.

7. Experience with SketchUp. 8. Salary based on experience and qualifications.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Sound Technology related field.
