YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Systems Engineering Co-op, you will work closely with the technical teams of various programs and projects to define requirements and solve problems during device development. You will work with existing products in lifecycle engineering efforts, as well as new products in various stages of new product development. As a co-op, you will gain valuable experience in medical device development and engineering.

The primary responsibilities of this role, Systems Engineering Co-op, are to: 

• Support systems engineering responsibilities at various phases of product development;
• Work with a team to face challenges that arise during product development, and engineer solutions to meet deadlines;
• Work in both a desk and laboratory setting to apply a hands-on mindset to solving problems.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program;
• Completion of at least sophomore year;
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Ability to commit to a 40 hr./week 15-month assignment (May 2020 – August 2021).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursing a degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Biomedical Engineering;
• Laboratory experience;
• Coursework in medical device development/regulatory affairs.
