Briefing:

First Data’s Global Infrastructure Operations group is looking for a high-caliber, Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership of our dynamic infrastructure. At the intersection of business opportunity and infrastructure transformation, we are looking for someone who will engineer and execute a strategy to deliver world-class Infrastructure capabilities supporting the business needs.

You must have demonstrated expertise in the VMware, Linux and Storage technologies used to build world-class Infrastructure, and have a good understanding of the trends in the industry.

You see issues well before they happen, and take the initiative to resolve them before being asked to. You are not afraid to take charge, make quick decisions and communicate your ideas confidently. You are curious and a self learner.

Responsibility:

1 Systems engineering experience across the infrastructure landscape in the data center and the cloud following global standards.

2 Own the engineering and maintenance functions of IT Infrastructure including technology roadmaps, capacity planning models, and performance metrics, to aid the organization in making informed decisions aligned with the organization’s overall business objectives

3 Individual with strong English writing and oral communication skills capable of delivering information in a clear and concise manner both internally and in global engineering communications.

4 Contribute to global design of infrastructure solutions

5 Drive a Product/Solution focus to achieve high customer satisfaction and adoption of the solutions implemented

6 Work directly with the global leadership to grow infrastructure solutions in a healthy and sustainable way, and advocate for the standardization of the technology, process, and skillset

Requirements:

• 5+ years success in a technical engineering role in IT Infrastructure
• Must be able to work with a wide set of subject matter experts to design and implement complex FinTech IT environments
• Performance-driven style with demonstrable experience personally driving or influencing successful projects
• Comfort with rapidly-changing technology situations necessary to support clients across finance industry
• Team oriented personality capable of working in a successful, high-performing team with a desire to work in a collaborative environment while making decisions based on data available

• Expertise in Financial Services, Banking, or Technology vertical markets is a plus
• Proven history of taking initiative; doing, not just talking
• Industry certifications in Virtualization, OS, Storage or other infrastructure disciplines.
