1. Areas of responsibility

Target is to:

  • Secure the correct resources in the team to be able to deliver with high efficiency and a cost effective work in the team
  • Secure the correct knowledge and process in the team
  • Secure a quick response to customers and projects
  • Utilize resource to support RFI,RFQ,KBD,PIP,POI projects
  • Establish and maintain a development plan for the team and follow up trainings
  • Manage approved recruitments and hiring
  • Approve design review, RVS, system requirements and related other teams’ documents.
  • Delegate projects and tasks within the team
  • Gather and share information
  • Secure that agreed processes and working tools are used and evolved
  • Identify improvements in work methods
  • Drive R&D innovation activities
  • Handle the personnel administration in the team, such as time report, vacation planning, and participate in salary reviews
  • Coach and mentor the team members in their personal development
  • Escalate issues to global function managers and local department manager on time
  • Coach and guide team follow ISO26262 to delivery projects that need to follow this.
  • Other tasks from function and legal manger.


2. Competence profile (ideal)

Education:

  • Bachelor or master degree in engineering, or equivalent.
  • Documented qualities of leadership.

Experience and skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience within research and development.
  • Deeply understanding on customer interest, expectation
  • Passionate, Accountable and Prepared
  • Solid global projects experience and global team work experience
  • Fluent knowledge in English, spoken and written.
  • Good knowledge of TS16949, automotive development process, design hours estimation
  • Good knowledge about MT shifter, AT shifter, shift cable, SBW system
  • Good sense on engineering sales and new business winning
  • Good knowledge on electronic system and related output documents
  • Good general skills in handling computers using typical office tools, CAD tools
  • Good teamwork within RD and project team
  • Support VAVE activities
  • Good sense of innovation and out of box thinking
  • Personal qualities appropriate for leading other people; analytic, structured, pro-active, enterprising, target focused, determined, and able to lead and inspire people.
