Department: System Operation & Maintenance

 

In this position, you will:

• Perform administration, maintenance and the security controls of IT platforms and system software
• Monitor system performance and status
• Maintain the high stability and efficiency platforms for the business applications
• Allocate system resources and prepare system expansion plan according to the business requirements
• Provide technical consultation to application developers and the juniors on system-wide issues
• Maintain Docker image life cycle
• Liaise with external vendors for the system administration support
• Test/ Evaluate new technology for production use

 

To be successful in this position, you should meet the following requirements:

• Holder of Higher Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• At least 3 years of Linux/ Unix System Admin. experience
• Experience in Linux servers in virtualized environments and Linux scripting languages (shell, perl, python or etc)
• Familiarity with Redhat, Apache, DNS, LDAP, Oracle and AIX
• Good knowledge of load balancing, firewalls etc.
• Experience in virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hypervisor
• Proficiency in IBM Cognos, enterprise backup software preferred
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios or Zabbix
• Knowledge of source control, Docker or CI/CD flow
• Knowledge of servers, switches, SAN storage & RDBMS administration etc.
• Working knowledge of ITIL framework
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Non-office hour support is required
