Job Description

Purpose of Job:

The main purpose of this position is to work on orders placing and manage vendor delivery to support global sales demand and balance targeted stock level with lowest logistics cost.


Job Scope & Major Responsibilities:

1 Keep close communication with Asian vendors to ensure an effective order fulfillment, work with internal functions including sourcing, quality & engineering, to solve outstanding capacity/delivery issues;

2 Coordinate multiple functions including forwarder, vendors, customers and global regions to make smooth shipments and with minimum logistics cost;

3 Update global PO status weekly and vendor performance monthly to customer regions;

4 Manage vendor delivery performance, analyze the delay root cause to improve vendor on-time-delivery and flexibility;

5 Create PO based on customers direct orders, negotiate with vendors in MOQ and ETD;

6 Review forecast and stock data closely and create US warehouse POs to meet demand request and balance stock level.

7 Communicate closely with US planners and forecast team on demand change, analyze and execute pull in and push out actions.

8 Work on proactive actions including vendors capacity analysis and vendor supply chain audit to reduce delivery risk caused by vendors’ capacity and internal process issues.

9 Operate in SAP and forwarder system to maintain daily data mgmt. and reporting as required;

10 Participate in defining process flow of global supply chain mgmt.

11 Communicate closely with regions’ S&OP teams on product demand forecast and inventory to decide product ordering schedule and quantity (optional).

12 Work with customers on order delivery, document collection and payment follow-up (optional).

13 Act as region/account leader in consolidating data and coordinating issues (optional).

14 Tasks assigned by supervisor


Requirements:

1 Education

  • Bachelor degree


2 Experience

  • 3+ years working experience on order management, planning, merchandiser and logistics
  • Working experience in international company is preferred
  • Industrial background of Garment or Apparel is preferred

3 Professional Qualifications, Knowledge and skills.


4 Written / Oral Language skills:

  • Good command of spoken and written English


5 Competencies

  • Able to work in details and finish assigned tasks on time with team work.
  • Good business sense and good communication skills.
  • Experience in SAP, AFS is preferred
  • Experience in windows, Microsoft office (especially on Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Selfmotivated and be good at learning and logic thinking, able to work independently under high pressure, good analytical skill.
