Job Description
The position is responsible for driving supply chain projects from end to end and carrying on multiple existing activities including CM on-site management. The person on this position will be:
- Execute global 3rd party Contract Manufacturing Supply Chain strategies
- Plan and manage supply chain programs to meet specific objectives or goals. Evaluates and designs how to optimize theglobal capacity, capability and cost opportunities within supply chains to meet business needs and program requirements
- Provide leadership for the project team and key interfaces to the CM, Operation and Commercial team
- Effectively communicate, oral and written, throughout the project life cycle with all project stakeholders, to include materials, production, logistics, and others as necessary
- Lead and manage negotiation for contract, cost and commercial needs to meet financial/cost KPIs.
- Having sufficient analytical skills to resolve business problems and/or escalate issues to process owners
- Knowing and understanding the business impact of additions or deletions to the project
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for interfacing with Commercial and Operation Team as project owner activity, working with a cross functional team to optimize process flow to support objectives
- Responsible for developing and monitoring all elements of the project plans, understand process performance, identify failure points, report gaps, track metrics, and report to Leadership Team
- Support and ensure key technology transition to certified partners for mass production.
- Overall performance assurance to new product introduction; schedule, delivery and MP line readiness. Identify tasks, determine dependencies, communicate expectations to team members, obtain task effort and duration estimates from team members, and creates/tracks the project schedule
- Provide leadership, guidance and clarity of day to day CM performance to SCM onsite professionals. Meeting KPIs for team management and people development
Soft Skills:
- Experience and knowledge of manufacturing
- Ability to understand and analyze data, recognize root causes and provide recommendations to management or team members
- Excellent documentation and writing skills to complete report and tracking lists
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
- Effective communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Must have a customer-focused mindset
Experiences/Education:
Required:
- University graduate, major in engineering, business or supply chain.
- 10 year experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain/operation
- Experience in working with vendor onsite for contract manufacturing operation and management
- Experience working at MNC or global consumer electronics company is greatly preferred
- Global work experience, working across regions and cultures
- Experience in display/touch panel manufacturing/cover glass/mechanics is preferred.
- MBA will be a plus.
Desired:
- Certified PM. Project Management skills demonstrated with ability to define object
- Experience across multiple plants or multiple functions.
- Experience with Quality and Supply Chain management
