Job Description

The Senior Associate Supply Chain will leverage strong planning skills and utilize key supply chain concepts to manage multiple priorities.  Under general supervision, this role will perform supply chain planning requirements in order to successfully complete operational objectives and improve existing systems and processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all work is completed with minimal disruption and in compliance with all cGMP guidelines and Amgen procedures. Available for being on call and having the ability to respond to business needs as necessary
  • Analyze, consolidate, and report demand to management, co-workers, and customers
  • Manage inbound and outbound virtual transactions between Amgen and third-party distribution
  • Manage Inbound communication of inbound containers
  • Maintain on time performance records for transportation providers
  • Maintain carrier scorecards, KPIs for transportation and distribution providers
  • Examine schedules and other documents to ascertain delivery and pick up schedules
  • Assist with cross functional special supply chain improvement projects
  • Maintain current process orders and master data in the SAP using current production information
  • Use the application of Standard Supply Chain and Planning principles, theories, concepts, and techniques
  • Manage track and trace process of small parcel shipments
  • Act as representative for Supply Chain for product and other relevant satellite teams
  • Assist with transportation invoice review
  • Interface with site planning, manufacturing, quality, business unit leaders, and finance to ensure functional alignment of plans and expected outcomes
  • Accounting Experience is preferred

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Supply Chain / Customer Service experience

OR

Associates degree and 6 years of Supply Chain / Customer Service experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Supply Chain / Customer Service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations
  • Experience in project management across departments
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize and communicate findings
  • Independent self-starter, able to work autonomously, under pressure and in teams under minimum supervision
  • Problem solver with high sense of responsibility to achieve results
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal & written).
  • GMP knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical regulations
  • Understanding of Quality and regulatory requirements
