As part of the ASSA ABLOY ES Supply Chain, lead and support supplier quality assurance activities related to material and components for Door Automation products.

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility is to assist in the Sourcing organization with the overall supplier quality for new and existing products. This includes auditing new supplier according to ASSA ABLOY standards, both in terms of Quality and Sustainability, review of the supplier’s quality systems implementation including test and inspection plans and product reliability, risk management and design transfer.
• Overall responsible in the Business Area for the Supplier Audit process, reporting and result. This includes performing Supplier Audits and track audit action items with suppliers and drives open action items to completion.
• Facilitate early supplier involvement and ensure Design For Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) for externally purchased parts together with the Sourcing Team.
• Develop Supplier Quality Plans together with the suppliers and Sourcing Team both in new product development projects and for existing parts.
• Participate in the Supplier Selection process which e.g. includes participating in Technical Reviews and auditing of the suppliers.
• Assist the Sourcing Team in the supplier consolidation process, across the Business Area as well as across the Divisions and Group
• Participate in VA/VE and other cost reduction activities
• Participates in procedure review of Supplier Management SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Participates in regular supplier feedback session
• Assists manufacturing/quality engineers to analyze and identify supplier related issues and help in the testing and implementation of the most effective solutions in a timely manner. This should be done according to an established escalation process.
• Participant and/or champion for the Corrective Action and Preventative Action process for externally purchased parts.

Qualifications/Work Experience:

• Bachelor Degree on Mechanical or related.

• Good English skills both on verbal and written

• Over 8 years working experience, department management experience is preferred.

• Experience from manufacturing / production processes, preferable from the mechanical industry
• Supplier / Project Management Experience
• Demonstrated Collaboration, Negotiation & Conflict Resolution Skills

• Knowledge of Quality Management System Tools, Continuous Improvement Methodologies

Knowledge of Six Sigma tools, APQP, TQM and other established quality
