RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To establish, maintain and continuous improve the supplier and material quality and food safety management system, ensure the materials and suppliers meeting the requirements of Newly Weds Foods, customer, religious and relevant regulatory requirements.

2. To lead material related quality and food safety projects to build strong quality culture and confidence in material quality, food safety and regulatory compliance.

3. Lead and organize the material review regularly to drive the continuous improvements of material quality and supplier performance.

4. Lead the material and supplier risk assessments, and come up with the material and supplier management plan accordingly.

5. Organize and conduct supplier audits to support supplier development. Conduct necessary AIB GMP and IPM inspections to identify the potential risks and drive for the supplier CAPA with collaboration with purchasing team.

6. Responsible for New Material and New Supplier Approval to ensure quality, food safety and regulatory compliance.

7. Lead and develop the material expertise including but not limit to training, research, and tests.

8. Manage and control the resource to meet both the functional requirement and corporate budget.

9. Business support to NWF plants with quality and food safety expertise.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor and above degree in Food Safety, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Environmental Health or similar discipline.

2. Minimum of 5 years Quality management experience within the food, beverage, pharmaceutical or medical device industries including knowledge of equipment and process.

3. Practical knowledge of pest behavior and pest management practices is necessary.

4. Training or prior experience in food regulations such as ISO, GFSI, HACCP, AIB, GMP’s, Hygiene and Pest Management.

5. Training or prior experience in professional auditing standards or practitioner certifications.

6. Excellent observational skills with the ability to make independent judgments of risk that go beyond typical checklist audits.
