Position Overview

The Forum business is currently producing 4,000+ Interview transcripts per year out of our New York, London, Shanghai and Hong Kong offices.

We are looking to recruit an ambitious and driven Intern to support our sub-editing team and help review and edit all content distributed to our clients, as well as build internal Glossary and contribute to our Style Guide.

Forum is building a Global Editing Team, with members from a variety of backgrounds. This role is based in Shanghai.

Commercial awareness: learn how an industry value chain is formed and how each component is put to work.

Teamwork: cooperate and coordinate with co-workers of varied functions to complete quantifiable real-time projects in a pressured workplace environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit all upcoming interview and seminar invitation marketing materials to fit Third Bridge’s “House Style”
• Review and edit post-interview summaries ahead of its distribution
• Review Chinese and English transcripts of conference calls
• Liaise with the Third Bridge’s legal/compliance team to ensure smooth transcript compliance review
• Manage the relationship with the local third-party agency in charge of transcription and/or translation services; supervise project delivery and feedback
• Contribute to Third Bridge’s Glossary and Style Guide

Skills and Qualifications

• Impeccable written English
• Impeccable written Chinese
• Culture intelligence
• Ability to read materials and research industry-specific terminology
• Major in translation, interpreting, literature and linguistics is a plus; students majoring in other fields are also welcome to apply
• Highly developed attention to detail and a keen proofreading eye
• Ability to operate in a high-pressure environment with daily deadlines
