Job Description for Structural Engineer

Position Accountabilities:

Zeeco is an International Leader in Industrial Combustion Technology, primarily serving the Petroleum, Chemical, and Power Generation Industries Worldwide. We provide flare system, thermal oxidizer system, air heater system, Vapor Recovery Unit and process burners to our customers. This position is accountable for related sales support, general drawings design, foundation load calculation, construction drawings design, stress analysis and calculation report, etc.

Responsibilities:

1. Concept design and structural weight calculation during project bidding stage.

2. Responsible for structural design, procurement support and necessary site construction guidance.

3. Cooperate actively with clients, design institute, manufacturer as well as all project participants.

4. Review and comment sub-design institute’s drawings if applicable.

5. Support and coordinate with other disciplines and departments.

6. Ensure the design is in accordance with related Code and matches Custom Requirements, resulting in higher customer satisfaction and cost savings.

7. Review and comment vendor’s fabrication drawings and related documents.

8. Solve complex problems where analysis of a situation is required in order to meet the requirements of the customer.

9. Coordinate with US engineers for local and global projects execution.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree with major in Engineering - Master degree is preferred.

2. More than 8-year experience in structural design for Petro-chemical and refinery units.

3. Experience of structure design, derrick design is preferred.

4. Must be capable of working in a team environment.

5. Willingness to learn new technologies.

6. Ability to work independently

7. Familiar with related design regulation and software, and structural construction regulation.

8. Experience for coordination with other disciplines, familiar with the scope of work split with relevant disciplines.

9. Fluent written English and verbal communication skills mandatory.

10. More than 8-year experience in structural design for Petro-chemical and refinery units.
