Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as strategy partner to the SVP of the China market group, supporting them in shaping and delivering their holistic agenda
  • Lead cross-functional teams to plan and implement key strategic, commercial and organisational projects across the market group, working in close collaboration with the Global Business Development team to cascade global priorities
  • Lead and facilitate the MG leadership team into definition and deployment of the annual business priorities, including deployment tracking and follow-up on key initiatives
  • Constructively challenge stakeholders and provide strategic sparring to market group leaders on strategic challenges / issues to improve leadership decisions
  • Own the market group leadership team meeting cadence and agenda, ensuring correct strategic focus and follow-up to ensure traction
  • Analyse and assess future trends (threats and opportunities) in the marketplace to drive the strategic agenda, solve ad hoc analytical assignments, prepare presentations and decision documents
  • Play active role in Global Business Development team, including taking part in global initiatives, cascading global direction, team capability-building and knowledge/insights-sharing

  • The role reports to the Head of Global Business Development and forms part of a team of 6 colleagues who all act as strategy partners to the heads of LEGOs market groups globally
  • We ensure a coherent and clear implementation of the global LEGO priorities and commercial projects in our markets, while also leading the market group leadership teams in definition and implementation of the strategic priorities critical to our regions.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Hold an Bachelor or above degree in marketing, finance, economics or similar with excellent results
  • Have 4+ years of experience from a top-tier management consulting company
  • Have 2+ years of business development experience from a similar role, ideally in the Retail/FMCG/CPG industry
  • Have top-notch quantitative and analytical skills that allow you to extract logic, insights and meaningful conclusions from complex business problems
  • Are bold, entrepreneurial and commercially savy
  • Have excellent communication skills, allowing you to structure documents and quantitative analysis as well as PowerPoint presentations for executive level communication
  • Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese & English
