TEAM AND ROLE OVERVIEW The North America Sales Operations & Strategy Team is dedicated to optimizing short-term sales operations/performance along with creating the strategy for long-term growth within the region. The Strategy Manager is responsible for creating, developing, and driving strategic recommendations to grow the North American business. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial mindset and should be able to independently develop strategic analyses with high-level guidance. This role is an important function that will help the improve the quality and speed of strategic assessments and support the implementation of these strategies. This is a highly collaborative role that will regularly interface with leaders in Sales, Marketing, Product Operations, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Finance. The position will be based in Chicago, IL. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the smartphone market and its key trends • Partner with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Product and Marketing to drive improved sales planning and execution • Serve as trusted advisor to Sales teams by understanding priorities and developing actionable business insights and sales intelligence reports • Create executive-level presentations to support strategic recommendations and new growth opportunities • Own and drive competitive analysis and strategy including post-mortem analysis, competitive product assessments and SWOT analysis • Analyze various data sources (market performance, competitive analysis, purchasing preferences, pricing and technology trends) and leverage to inform strategies • Support urgent requests for market information, including intelligence on competitor actions and business performance #### Position Requirements: Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of professional experience or equivalent • At least 2 years of experience in Business Analyst or Management Consulting role or equivalent • Ability to define and frame business problems in a logical and structured manner • Motivated self-starter that is comfortable working independently and in ambiguity • Confidant story-teller with ability to deliver persuasive presentations based on data-driven insights to gain support for business strategies and initiatives • Highly proficient with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and G Suite tools Preferred Qualifications: • MBA • Previous consulting experience • Highly collaborative with experience working in cross-functional teams We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any federal, state, or local protected class.
