Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is an Oracle cloud platform to run modern, cloud native, high performance application and IT workloads. 

OCI is next generation cloud platform that has technological advantage in performance, especially for distributed and microservices architectures, high performance computing, manageability, scalability and security.  Due to autonomous IT set of technologies OCI offloads operational effort and associated costs and leads in price/performance area.

OCI provides real-time elasticity for modern applications by combining Oracle's autonomous services, integrated security, and server-less compute. Oracle Cloud is available globally from 30 cloud regions, and Oracle is rapidly building more new regions.

Thousands of ISVs and web platform companies like Zoom, NetSuite, GridMarkets, Interactive Scientific and more select Oracle cloud for top price/performance, security, outstanding SLAs and manageability.  Tight integration with modern open-source technologies allows to integrate OCI natively in customers DevOps environments. Oracle uses OCI for own successful Software as a Service business.

You are to work with largest European Independent Software Vendors (ISV): software companies, platform companies and convince/economy companies. Our customers are cloud native software vendors, Software as a Service providers, commercial application providers – all of them at core rely on information technologies to create and run internet and web services. Our clients span both business 2 business and business 2 consumers markets; provide services in high-tech, entertainment, communication, fintech and professional services industries. All the clients are very passionate about technology, make use and contribute to opensource projects. They are Masters of Modern DevOps methods and DevOps technologies.

Our organization is responsible to bring to ISV the new generation of modern technologies: cloud and opensource to fuel their business with better profitability, functionality, performance and quality. 

What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for selling Oracle Cloud technology and related services to a defined set of Named Clients.

Working with ISVs and High Tech Companies your goal is to ensure that we as a partner has in depth understanding of their business model, DevOps and production environment, advantages and challenges. With this understanding and support of engineering team you are to develop a solution, design and commercial offer that exceeds customer expectations and led to Oracle Cloud adoption.

  • Learn and know in depth ISV/Tech business model and production system with its advantages and challenges
  • Address identified challenges and business opportunities with right Oracle cloud offer
  • Build lasting relationships with senior Customer contacts – Chief Technology Officer, Head of development and operations
  • Engage vast Oracle resources and expertise, including cloud engineering teams for design, technology demo, proof and Customer onboarding to OCI
  • Develop and execute a sales plan that provides complete territory coverage
  • Develop appropriate sales programs and solutions; maintain up-to-date competitive information and compile regional success stories
  • Be accountable for sales forecast, linearity and cloud contract growth
  • Develop in-depth Oracle technology knowledge especially in the areas of competitive advantage

 

What you’ll Bring

  1. Passion for technology. Degree in computer science / engineering and experience within software development industry.
  2. A background in selling multi-tiered cloud (IaaS, PaaS). 
  3. Sincere interest in learning a customer business: financial, technological and operational models with advantages, challenges and opportunities.
  4. Knowledge of modern applications development and operation processes, DevOps organization and tooling.
  5. Ability to envision, design, build with engineering team and deliver customer centric solutions; whether its improved software delivery, time to market, enhanced features or better functionality with Oracle cloud.
  6. Confidence, healthy ambition and track record of building lasting relations with C-level executives.
  7. Ultimate focus on signing the agreement and have a client select Oracle Cloud as a primary cloud platform, structured sales approach and resource utilization, precise forecast.     
  8. Optimistic and positive mind set, eager to interact and influence people.
Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).

Primary job duty is to sell technology software products and related services in a defined territory. Identifies, qualifies and closes new opportunities. Manages accounts including the entire sales process from business development prospecting and specifications through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support. Leverages the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. Builds and expands business partner revenue and self sufficiency.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience including 7 years of technology sales experience. Ability to forecast, manage sales expenses, and successfully close new Oracle business. Business development, prospecting and presentation skills. Excellent communication skills and problem solving ability. Proven track record of exceeding sales objective and territory/account development. Experience as the focal point for clients for all sales and related issues. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle*s competitors. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
