 Responsibilities:

  • Develop moist heat terminal sterilization cycles.
  • Support the transfer of methods between manufacturing facilities.
  • Develop sterilization qualification/validation methods, protocols and documentation.
  • Serve as technical sterility assurance focal point for projects, coordinating all sterility assurance activities for a given project.
  • Effectively support team members in the creation and implementation of development plans; foster development by providing appropriate challenges for team members.
  • Apply specialized theoretical knowledge in a creative way to a broad range of difficult problems.
  • Develop products/processes (design, quality improvements, research techniques, etc) incorporating multiple tasks within area of expertise.
  • Inside the business, contributes as an expert within area of sterility assurance as evidenced by requests for guidance by fellow employees as well as others outside the division.
  • Incorporate knowledge of customer use and product design to predict product effectiveness/anticipate potential failures.
  • Complete complex design and technical tasks, integrating information from a variety of disciplines.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may jeopardize project schedules or improve project time.
  • Provide technical input to strategic plans.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering discipline MS preferred, with approximately 10+ years of practical experience.
  • Must have at least 10 years Sterilization experience with solutions and medical devices.
  • Requires strong organization and communication skills, with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel. 
  • Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding business objectives and Schedule and resource implications.
