Siemens Power Technologies International (PTI), the consulting side of Siemens Grid Software, is seeking an experienced consultant who will be responsible for implementation and delivery of leading-edge power market analytics and engineering. This position requires great technical management, as well as admirable people skills, while balancing bottom line objectives. This is a remote, home-office based position. You do not have to be in the city posted. It's your role, here's the part you can play: Support business development and promote Siemens PTI consulting services - from strategic advisory and technical consultancy to state-of the art software Promote relationship building with new and existing key clients Manage client engagements, proposal generation and project management functions to deliver consulting services Leverage relationships with other Siemens Industry Business Units Prepares weekly status reports on all project & business activities Initiate innovative solutions and approaches for new services in power & energy industry Your responsibilities will grow into an even mix of on-going business development and delivery execution/management. This includes associated talent acquisition and consulting activities to achieve corporate growth targets Be part of our team, here's what's needed: Minimum of 8 years of successful energy related consulting experience and demonstrated growth in distribution planning, DER planning, and/or energy consulting leadership Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Systems Engineering with practical experience in using advanced power system analysis tools Experience in depth with one of Distribution Power System Simulation Software packages: CYME®, Synergi ®, Milsoft ® At least one area of expertise in: DG/DER Interconnection Study, Hosting capacity analyses, Electrical Vehicle (EV) infrastructure planning, Volt-VAR Control and Optimization, Automated Switching (FLISR) Knowledge of transmission system planning or operations with experience analyzing power flow, transient stability, and electromagnetic transients Experience in industrial power system modeling and studies / production costing is considered a plus Persuasive presentation and effective communication skills-both verbal and written The ability to travel (primarily in US) Ability to work in matrix and international organization We've got a lot to offer: An opportunity to work with innovative and modern technologies - products and services in the field of electrification, automation, and digitalization Competitive compensation (salary and bonus based on qualifications) Health, dental, and vision plans with options Matching 401(k) Unlimited Flexible Time Off Paid parental leave Extensive product training and professional career development Education and tuition reimbursement programs available Siemens is recognized as being a top employer for diversity, sustainability, innovation, and technology.
