Antenna team is responsible for the antenna design and development for our current product lines, including devices with 5G technology.  We validate antenna design concepts through extensive simulation and prototyping to ensure optimal antenna performance.  Working across global product design disciplines, from RF and Mechanical Engineering to Industrial Design, we architect and design antennas that meet regulatory and certification requirements for our smartphones and mobile devices. As an Architecture and Design Antenna Engineer project work will include: • Taking ownership of the full life-cycle development of antennas, from fundamental design phases through product production • Working with the Mechanical Engineering and CXD teams to verify design proposals that work within the framework of the product • Performing simulations of your prototypes to guarantee compliance with product specifications • Characterizing and verifying antenna performance using network analyzers and anechoic antenna chambers • Working with multiple globally-based teams to evaluate your antenna performance for efficiency, gain, radiation patterns TRP and TIS #### Position Requirements: • 1-3 years of experience with antenna architecture, design, simulation and prototyping • PhD in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Antenna, RF, and/or Electromagnetics • Experience with antenna simulation tools (HFSS, XFDTD, CST, etc) • Familiarity with antenna matching circuit design in ADS or similar matching tools • Experience in fabrication and prototyping abilities, including soldering and assembly • Possess specialized expertise in antenna architecture and design in cell phone form factor • Experience and familiarity in 5G technology • Ability to work in collaboration with other teams and disciplines • Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any federal, state, or local protected class.
