Provides advanced ERP, analytic, transportation and trade compliance management system support to the Innovation & Systems team under minimal supervision.  This position’s primary focus will be to develop, execute and support Global Trade systems strategies and enhance our technology platform.  It will consist of both creating and implementing global systems standards and solutions, detailed and complex analysis of operational data to develop baselines, improve system performance, and identify process improvement opportunities.  The Sr. Analyst will perform both strategic analysis and provide project support for the execution of initiatives to efficiently and compliantly drive towards a seamless Global Trade.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.  This section contains a list of five to eight primary responsibilities of the work.  The incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.

In addition to higher level support of operational analyst responsibilities, the Sr. Global Trade Systems Analyst will perform the following duties:

  • Provide support for day to day business systems operations, ensuring they are functioning effectively and compliantly
  • Independently engage in problem-solving, project/task management and solution development
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships, representing the business needs of the operations and support functions
  • Leader for global system enhancements, including coordinating business requirements, developing timelines, organizing testing support
  • Assist in the development of Global Trade policies and procedures, aligning initiatives to team priorities and executing in a timely manner
  • Develop relationships with global operational contacts to drive execution of systems standards
  • Analytical leader that strives to identify operational gaps and systemic efficiencies by developing and maintaining reporting portfolio.
  • Summarize data for use in reports to business units, as well as identifying future opportunities
  • Serve as key escalation point for Global Trade systems issues
  • Participate and/or lead projects as assigned by senior management

Qualifications.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  List knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. 

  • Demonstrated ability to interact at multiple levels of the organization and function as a liaison with internal and external customers, suppliers and vendors
  • Must be able to work with a high degree of independence and be a self-starter
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and present significant amounts of information from multiple data sources with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good planning and project management skills with experience leading initiatives
  • Interprets internal/external business issues and recommends best practices
  • Identifies quality, service-oriented and innovative solutions and shares key learnings while staying in line with strategic plans
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and demonstrated ability to perform advanced analytics
  • Working knowledge of Lean Principles and/or Six Sigma Techniques

Education and/or Experience.  Include the education and/or experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Minimum of three to five years professional experience required.

Proficiency and/or Experience in below systems strongly preferred: 

  • J.D. Edwards ERP
  • Tableau Analytics & Reporting
  • Global Transportation Management solution (i.e. Infor/GT Nexus)
  • Global Trade Management solution (i.e. Integration Point
