Job Responsibilities
- Support the clinical research development process in the field of clinical statistical programming for new substances, indications or marketing claims. The person carrying this function acts as a Trial or Project Programmer (T/PProg) for one or more trials of Phase I to IV, focusing on complex trials, drug projects and substances that may be outside the standard setting. The T/PProg gains programming knowledge of several therapeutic areas and can apply programming standards as required. The T/PProg in this function can also supervise and instruct a Contract Research Organization performing the tasks of the programmer. Coaches and develops other programmers in the aspects of clinical trial programming
- Work directly with the statistician and proactively with the Trial, Project or Substance team. Meet agreed upon timelines to the success of the clinical trial/project team objectives
- Assume programming responsibility and coordinate relevant activities for assigned Trial, Project.
Qualifications:
- Education/Degree Requirements: Bachelor degree or Master degree (e.g. MBA, MSc)
- Major: Computer, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Statistics, Physics and/or Others
- Language skills & proficiency: Good written and oral communications skills in both English and Mandarin languages
- Required capabilities (skills, experience, competencies): Three to five years of progressive statistical programming experience in CRO and pharma industry; Advanced knowledge of SAS macros, Proc SQL, SAS/Graph, SAS/Stat, and Proc Report; Advanced understanding of statistical concepts in supporting of analysis and reporting; Knowledge in database structures and set-up; Knowledge of basic medical terminology; Good organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, time management skills and initiative. Flexibility and ability to work on several assignments simultaneously. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team; Must be precise, detail oriented, and able to understand data displays and their relation to each other; Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with people, internally and externally; Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
