Our West Chester Supply Site is a very dynamic and growing manufacturing site within the AstraZeneca Global Operations network and is located just north of Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to serving as the global COVID vaccine production site for AstraZeneca, the West Chester site encompasses Bulk API Microsphere manufacturing, Aseptic Pharmaceutical Formulation, multi-line Isolator/Barrier Vial and Syringe Filling, and specialty Packaging Operations for Vials and Auto-Injectors that supports growing franchises in Diabetes, Respiratory, and Vaccines. Our site is one of 30 production facilities in 18 countries with over 700 people collaborating to connect powerful medications to patients in more than 60 countries around the world. We focus on providing a collaborative environment where everyone feels comfortable and able to be themselves. In this position you will lead and have personnel responsibility for other Program Managers in NPI Supply, leads projects that support the West Chester supply chain. Responsible for all phases of a project including project initiation, planning, execution, and closure. Project responsibilities also include project team management, stakeholder management, and project communications. The scope of work includes projects or programs related to new product introductions, product life-cycle initiatives, and major supply chain compliance and transformation initiatives within West Chester.
What you will do:
Lead, direct, and handle supply chain projects in support of business strategies, including new product introductions, brand life cycle initiatives, and major supply chain compliance and transformation initiatives.
Collaborate with global operations colleagues on product launches or global initiatives supporting brand project strategy development and project execution.
Provide career development and performance management for direct reports.
Handle issues and negotiate conflicts within and across projects
Influence strategic partner relationships with internal and external customers, challenging the status quo.
Lead multiple high-priority initiatives in parallel using applicable project manage tools to create, track, and manage.
Qualifications:
Education:
Four-year degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field
Required
Minimum 5 years’ experience and shown knowledge in various aspects of Manufacturing and/or Packaging operations and /or other supply chain management processes
Project management leadership or strategic planning development and assessment experience
Experience in delivering business-critical projects involving cross-functional participants, stakeholders, and organizations
Ensures sustainability of the change
Preferred:
Knowledge and understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, or equivalent
Direct experience in pharmaceutical sterile and/or aseptic manufacturing operations
Possess knowledge and understanding of product life-cycle management
Experience with commercialization and launch of new products
Shown understanding of external customer base and supply chain
Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and innovative when developing solutions
Passion for ensuring team members understand the ‘why’ for initiatives
