Provides business and technical leadership for high-visibility facility remediation programs across multiple business units and functions around the globe. Travel and/or short-term relocation assignments are frequent. This leader takes project teams through the identification, justification, prioritization, initiation, development and implementation processes. Drives financial analysis including cash flow, capital, and program positioning. Collaborates with legal and purchasing to develop and negotiate contracts. Interacts with and influences executive level internal and external stakeholders. Makes date commitments to businesses, external compliance agencies and manages stakeholder expectations during the program. Serves as a champion of product and process lifecycle management recognizing how project results impact the overall success of the global organization. Develops core team and project management capabilities throughout the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic planning leadership by setting strategies and priorities based upon compliance risk and anticipation of regulatory and business needs
- Manages a temporary organization and a budget in excess of $5 million
- Leads world-wide teams in definition and delivery of customer focused solutions
- Provides clear direction on requirements to meet expectations of external customers and business stakeholders
- Interacts with all functions and levels of management ensuring effective ongoing communications across teams and stakeholders
- Accountable for core team performance, program schedule and execution, budget commitments and spend
- Ensures identification and communication of project risks, development of risk plan and proactive management of risk response strategies
- Anticipates potential conflict situations for proactive solutions and manages conflict situations to result in win-win outcomes
- Maximizes business results through continuous improvement in organization's ability to execute programs from identification through implementation
Qualifications
- Broad as well as in-depth experience in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) with a proven ability to drive improvements from initial concept through delivery
- Role model of leadership expertise in all aspects of initiative management across multiple regions and groups
- Business acumen
Education and/or Experience
At the discretion of the hiring manager, a minimum of an MBA/MS or Bachelor’s with equivalent 7 plus years project management experience and 5 years of cGMP with demonstrated success leading multi-site, global or enterprise-wide programs in the medical products industry
