Job Description

Title: Senior PCB/FPC Design Engineer – Microsoft HoloLens

 

Microsoft HoloLens Team is continuing to revolutionize consumer electronic devices. We are developing ground-breaking hardware, software and experiences across computer vision, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and image and video processing, networking and graphics. We will transform our ideas into reality through shipping a first-to-market product

Responsibilities

  • Create flexible printed circuit board designs and rigid multilayer printed circuit boards to meet engineering requirements.
  • Edit and revise existing component placement, routing, board outlines, and constraints as needed to meet product requirements.
  • Work with EEs, MEs, DFM engineers, and FCP/PCB vendors to optimize design layout.
  • Support comprehensive design reviews and documentation with FPC/PCB vendors to initiate and answer all DFM feedback.
  • Able to work well individually or with teams supporting internal customer requirements and needs.
  • Own the responsibility of final design packages which include Valor checks and the generation of fabrication and assembly documentation.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge of PCB design and manufacturing technologies and materials to take full advantage of industry capabilities.

Qualifications

 

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of layout experience with exceptional understanding of FPC layout, manufacture, and constraints.
  • Flexible printed circuit materials knowledge is required.
  • Experience must involve PCB layout designs using Cadence Allegro PCB Design/CIS and designing high speed and impedance controlled circuits in compact multilayer flex circuit assemblies.
  • Experience must also include HDI designs using BGA pitches of equal to or less than 0.5 mm.
  • Valor experience also a plus.
  • AS degree or Equivalent
