Background We’re looking for a talented Senior Manager, UI Design to join Motorola’s Product Experience Design group in our downtown Chicago studio located in the Merchandise Mart. You’ll be joining a global design organization, with offices in China, Brazil and the US. The role of this team is to bring world-class design to global customers via targeted mobile experiences. In everything we do, we employ an iterative, user-centered design approach in order to optimize business strategies, build our brand, develop rich experiences and ensure usability. Recent product launches include our connected Ready For platform and the revival of our iconic Razr as a foldable 5G smartphone. Scope of Responsibilities: Defining visual design strategy and overseeing that vision across our mobile experiences Evolve our design language as new opportunities and capabilities arise Work in coordination and collaborate with designers in a range of disciplines, including UX design, content strategy, industrial design, and design research Coordinate and facilitate design workshops with work partners Provide UI guidance for agency partners and marketing team to promote great design to consumers Managing and mentoring a global team of visual designers Concept development, design and process methodology, scenario planning, user interface modeling, and information design The candidate will have a proven record of creating visual design in a mobile environment with the ability to contribute throughout the design process, from concept development through production and delivery. #### Position Requirements: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Multimedia Design with a preferred concentration in Interactive Media, Information Design or a related field. 7-10 years of digital design experience 3 years managing a team of designers Proven record of creating visual design with the ability to contribute throughout the design process, from concept development through production and delivery. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated creativity, confidence and tenacity Exceptional presentation and communication skills, pitching ideas to senior- level leadership and facilitating design workshops Advanced interaction design system experience for mobile products Expert in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, and industry-standard prototyping design tools Familiarity with Material Design and Android OS Motion design and illustration skills a plus Motorola Mobility is an equal opportunity employer.
