Position Overview
 
Develops the sales plan to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the organization for our Specialty Courier business segment. Responsible for ensuring maximum sales volume of PL services including: Specialty Logistics, Preferred Carrier Management, Freight Forwarding, International Air, & Government.Manages all aspects of the sales function including; development of client relationships, outside sales and transition of new business to the Account Executive or Operations team. This Sales Executive will identify the best ways to meet customer need and position PL in the best possible way to achieve revenue objectives.

Account and Client Relationship Management
 
Sales Strategy
 
  • Identify and secure sales opportunities consistent with PL’s strengths, while developing and implementing the sales strategy, including the identification and development of tool sets and coordination of team expertise to secure these accounts.
 
  • Develop and grow set of strategic accounts within the large pharmaceutical market space 
 
  • Meets with key clients, building, and maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
 
  • Identify new clients (new business areas) and new business opportunities for expansion of current capabilities of services
 
  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
 
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
 
  • Works with internal personnel (operations, account executives) to identify ways to optimize services (existing and future) and drive RFP success by demonstrating leadership with the customer top of mind
