Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Be the chief contact person of the Central GR and Sustainability Team at the Home Office;
- Support the implementation of Walmart’s corporate affairs strategy in China;
- Be responsible for sustainability project planning/execution, event management, budget management and promotion of signature programs;
- Proactively collaborate with relevant internal/external stakeholder on sustainability initiatives and develop programs, tools and procedure to synergize the efforts;
- Measure and monitor progress against sustainability strategies, objectives and performance targets as well as ensure appropriate internal alignments with legal and compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree or above in business administration, public policy, international relations, environmental science, or related field; MBA is a strong plus;
- 8-12 years of relevant full-time work experience in a similar role for a corporation, international NGO or agency with international exposure;
- A combined exposure of government relations, public affairs and sustainability;
- Good understanding of corporate affairs and passion for sustainability-related matters
- Proficient verbal and written communication skill in both English and Chinese
- Ability to work well within a cross-functional, multi-business unit, and matrixed business environment
- Ability to build and execute a clear strategic plan, couple with the flexibility to adjust to changing external environments
- Strong commitment to quality, timelines and integrity
- Strong self-management and ability to multi-task and to prioritize work effectively
- Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills
