Director of Cloud Network Services and Operations BNY Mellon Data and Analytics Solutions is a public- and private-cloud-based software and content offering that builds client-centric data, technology, and content capabilities.

The Director of Cloud Network Services and Operations is a critical role within Data and Analytics Solutions, responsible for developing and maintaining networks in a hybrid-cloud environment.  As the successful candidate, you will assume a leadership position in working closely with DevOps teams to refine systems for the SaaS solution running in both private and public cloud configurations.
What You Will Do 
  • Lead network design, deployment and maintenance of private and hybrid/public cloud architecture.
  • Ensure operational integrity for enterprise class zero down time networks
  • Manage a global team of experienced networking professionals (24x7).
  • Bring broad knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies, technology trends.
  • Manage a budget, monitoring and reporting project progress and adjusting resources and priorities accordingly, as well as being a thought leader on policy issues for the organization.
  • Execute, design and test strategies and integration test plans, also participating in migration test plans, up to customer acceptance and the support of production networks.
  • Private and hybrid/pubic cloud architecture.
  Sr.Group Manager, Network Engineering->> Manages multiple teams and oversees the implementation and support of the network infrastructure and systems for large/complex networks. Provides leadership to the teams charged with engineering, implementing, and maintaining the world-wide communications network. Assists in developing processes for monitoring managing, and supporting network performance, capacity planning, and network databases/documentation. Provides input into strategy of the network engineering area and implements critical projects.Oversees the overall design, consolidation and support of the organization's Local Area Networks (LANs) and participates in establishing and maintaining worldwide communication standards and network practices. Oversees financial and budgetary management for assigned teams. Is expert on current industry trends and emerging technologies. Evaluates new technology, products and services for potential opportunities as solutions or network upgrade/replacement.Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Manages multiple network engineering teams. Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives. 

Qualifications

The Experience You Will Bring
  • Edge and cloud networking with background in B2B as well as B2C application deployment.
  • Experience working with highly segmented networks in public and private clouds.
  • Proven design for multi-cloud networking between GCP, Azure and AWS.
  • Experience designing networks or systems for high availability, security, manageability, and reliability.
  • Leadership in Cisco ACI installation, configuration, troubleshooting and support.
  • A thorough understanding of SDN/Virtualization concepts: Management Plane, Control Plane, Data Plane and Policy Directory.
  • Deep technical knowledge of network or systems security infrastructure, such as network or host-based firewalls, IDS, IPS, proxy servers, tap.
  • Strong networking knowledge in: IP routing, MPLS, VPLS, L2/L3 VPNs and QoS.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred 10-12 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting high-traffic networks required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
