This exciting role offers opportunity to: Eaton’s Commercial and Residential Distribution Solutions has an opening for a Senior Designer UI/UX who will be involved in design & development of user experience, interface and interaction with IOT-enabled products/services including web and mobile applications. Responsible for design of UI/UX for end-user web/mobile applications involving commissioning, monitoring, and controlling a suite of wireless, IOT-enabled devices. Identify product opportunities through human-centered discovery and research methods, contribute to complex UX ecosystems.Understand and evaluate business needs and requirements in order to provide innovative, creative and contemporary design of global standards. Translate research and business plans into product concepts that lead to intuitive user experiences. Work with internal groups and third-party solution providers to provide seamless and harmonious design. Build project templates to accelerate new product development.Facilitate product development using personas, journey maps, research reports, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes. Create wire frames of low, medium and high fidelity. Develop production-quality, re-usable components across a variety of front-end technologies. Build multi-screen re-usable workflow components & libraries to provide drop-in functionality across different products. Create illustrative examples demonstrating correct application of components and design patterns. Support product development teams by answering questions, troubleshooting issues, soliciting enhancement requests, and communicating updates Create visual UI designs and style guides working with corporate teams. Qualifications Requirement: Bachelors in computer science / electronics/ E&TC/ Instrumentation engineering. Individuals with Industrial Design background would be preferred. UI/UX designer with 6+ years of experience on web or mobile applications Experience using experience design platforms such as Adobe XD, Figma, InVision Graphic design experience with a strong eye for good UX design. Proficiency in hand sketching and digital visual communication skills. Experience and exposure to Design Thinking tools and methodologies. Knowledge of Style guides, mood boards, typography, colour theory and other elements of creating Visual UI design Proven track record of creating contemporary designs in a global environment. Experience creating design strategy and information architecture. Familiarity with front end technologies such as Javascript, Typescript, Angular or other similar Javascript framework Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS/SASS Experience working in an Agile environment and working with Atlassian tool chain (Jira/BitBucket/Confluence), GIT/GitHub, or similar version control and issue tracking solutions. Desired experience in UI/UX for smart home/ energy management applications - Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Home Assistant, Samsung SmartThings, or other IOT ecosystems Good communication skills in English (verbal and written) to communicate information effectively to customers, and technical staff We make what matters work.
