Job Description

Job Summary

Support CSM (Customer Support and Maintenance) Great China and occasionally other countries in acquiring materials and services, where quality, delivery, technology capability and TCO (total cost of ownership) are critical. Well communicate from procurement perspective with suppliers and key internal stakeholders like engineers, project managers, consultants, business managers and sourcing to ensure successful project implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all functions comply to Rockwell Automation (RA) procedures or guidelines in procurement activities, and meanwhile provide excellent support to internal customers
  • Process material and service requests with suppliers and internal support team, and ensure suppliers quality, delivery, technology capability, cost meet project requirements
  • Clarify with requestors on technical and commercial requirements, and connect suppliers with requestors for communications and clarifications if needed
  • Lead RFQ with suppliers if no price agreement is available, and negotiate to achieve best prices
  • Ensure project agreements with suppliers comply with RA requirements, working with other functions
  • Lead supplier selection for projects, collaborating with other functions and following defined procedures
  • Document all required files for PO’s
  • Drive approval process for PO’s if needed, and ensure the process
  • Measure supplier performance, and develop KPI reports
  • Support Sourcing in developing and updating Approved Vendor List
  • Support Sourcing in developing sourcing strategy and initiatives
  • Support Asia Pacific and global requests whenever needed
  • Initiate or support continuous improvements whenever needed


KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Functional

  • High potential of growing to next level
  • Familiar with SAP or equivalents
  • Procurement or similar experience is needed
  • Good background or understanding of technical/ engineering
  • LEAN manufacturing or process design experience is a plus
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Very good communication and team skills
  • Very good English and presentation skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Compliant to high standards of business integrity

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
(Education, qualifications and experience requirements an employee must have)

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Business Administration or Engineering
  • Work experience in industrial environment and in supply chain management; solution/ engineering service industry is preferred
  • TRAVEL: 10%
