Roles & Responsibilities:

• General

  • Co-ordinate with headquarter and other inter-company/offices (ICOs) to provide feasible proposal / implement global strategies such as warehousing, freight forwarder contracts, etc.
  • Review/compare quotations and negotiate competitive pricing with freight forwarders. Identify and implement cost saving and transportation service improvements for Germany, HK and other ICOs .
  • Lead a small team(including overseas colleagues) for different projects and determine the international standard for global logistics facilities.

   

• Global Logistics

  • Report and analyze logistics / shipping cost data for continuous cost effectiveness improvement.
  • Review import / export transactions to ensure the compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Prepare and conduct negotiation of commercial contracts, make use of contractual terms to secure execution of trades.
  • Evaluate and standardize warehouse / logistics workflow. Make recommendation to improve global warehouses and logistics operation.
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.

    

• Project Management

  • Manage the implementation of global / regional logistics projects and provide timely update to management.
  • Provide internal consultancy services on project implementation, workflow design, and process re-engineering in supporting global logistics operations.
  • Act as the key contact person for global logistics project. Work closely with various departments including operation units, IT department, legal and compliance to ensure effective project implementation.
  • Proactively identify all the potential risks on projects and recommend mitigating measures.

    

Your professional background

• Degree or above, prefer major in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics or other relevant discipline

• 5-8 years relevant work experience in planning, supply chain, logistic or warehouse management

• Able to manage numbers of large and complex projects simultaneously

• Strong Excel skills at data manipulation and analysis

• Strong PowerPoint skills at professional slides constructions

• Pro-active, approachable, flexible, eager to face challenges and able to work independently

• Strong planning, organized and negotiation skills

• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin

• Strong analytical skill with business acumen and presentation skill

• Attention to details, strong numerical sense with analytical and innovative mindset

• Regular travel is required
