The Senior Buyer New Product Development(NPD) / External Contract Manufacturing (ECM) is part of the PSM NPD / ECM Team, reporting to Sr. Purchasing Manager. The Senior Buyer NPD / ECM is a source of knowledge for category / products, suppliers and PSM processes. He or She is responsible for supporting New Product Development, launch, and cost improvement/reductions. Other responsibilities include optimizing supplier relationships while maximizing value and ensuring uninterrupted product flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Senior Manager to execute Pharmaceuticals Strategy
• Assist with new supplier identification, development, onboarding, and new program implementation efforts and assisting with duties related to the contract lifecycle management as assigned.
• Ability to think critically and assist Sr. Manager and cross functional teams in determining and troubleshooting solutions.
• Prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) for identified projects.
• Early involvement of Purchasing for Supply Base Integration and leading product launches regarding overall supplier readiness (quality, time and cost)
• Represent purchasing within project core team for assigned projects
• Support the cross functional teams to successfully drive complex sourcing projects or VIPs.
• Support Senior Manager in price negotiations, contract terms and draft contracts where necessary.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years’ experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Project Management
• Experience in medical industry desired.
• Knowledge of procurement practices and techniques preferred.
• C.P.M./CPSM and/or CPIM certification desirable.
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Experience in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, pro-active personality.
• Strong business process and strategic thinking.
• Ability to engage and support key stakeholders throughout the PSM process.
• Good oral, written communications and presentation skills.
• Self-starter and result-oriented, have passion and "Can-Do-Attitude"
• Multi-cultural knowledge
• Competent in project management role – able to handle multiple project simultaneously.
